The first home video gaming console to really light a fire under Nintendo and Sega’s massively popular asses, the Sony PlayStation arrived in 1994, just in time for Christmas, and, the first console to ship 100 million units, soon revolutionized the gaming industry. More than 20 years later, the PlayStation console family still dominates the market and, now that Virtual Reality gaming is gaining traction, has a firm grasp on potential VR viewership. Now, that grasp will grow even tighter.
Following pressure from HTC, which dropped the price of its original Vive VR headset from to $500, Sony has announced that the price of its booming PS VR device bundles will now sit at $299.99 and $349.99 USD, a discount of $100 in each case. At $299.99, players can purchase a package containing the PS VR headset, PlayStation camera, PS VR demo disc, and the acclaimed shoot-em-up Doom VFR. For another fifty, two PlayStation Move controllers and Skyrim VR are added for an even more immersive world of fun.
PlayStation VR Substantial Price Drop Announced
This year is already lining up to be a big one for VR and PlayStation in particular. With close to 200 VR gaming experiences expected by the 2018’s end, Sony will soon be offering escapist gamers nearly 500 titles. “That’s all well and good,” you may say, “but where’s my damn porn?” Well, I’m getting to that…
One major hurdle to the success of VR porn is cost. Most quality headsets run well over $400 and many dirt-cheap smartphone alternatives barely pass muster, so an affordable VR apparatus is bound to be welcomed with open arms (and legs) by the salivating mass of porn fans eager to immerse themselves in rich sexual fantasies more completely than ever before. And, since the PlayStation 4 is hardly an obscure item to find in your average porn fan’s living room, the new PS VR price points are undeniably a good get.
